Howard Kennedy searches for the UK’s best employer

London law firm sponsors the National Business Awards 2017

Law firm Howard Kennedy is searching for the UK’s best employers, sponsoring for the second year in a row the Employer of the Year Award at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards.

The annual National Business Awards celebrates the best of British ambition, attracting many thousands of entries across 17 categories that include New Business of the Year, Exporter of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year.

The Howard Kennedy Employer of the Year award celebrates organisations seeing the best return on an investment in people. The award will recognise the employee strategy that best attracts, retains and develops talent – and how it contributes to sustainable growth and being an employer of choice.

The award is open to private, public and third sector organisations, with the Howard Kennedy judges looking for excellence in staff development, recruitment and retention, leadership and management, an embedded ethical culture, creative and collaborative customer service, and increased growth and financial performance.

Irena Molloy, Executive Director at Howard Kennedy, said:

Executive Director Irena Molloy
“We will be looking for businesses that stand head and shoulders above their peers, that can show how employees are engaged in the business goals and values, and how their people practices have driven sustainable commercial and competitive success.

“This is a tough category to win and one of the most coveted; it shows just how clever and inventive businesses are in attracting and retaining the very best people.  We are excited to be part of the National Business Awards in 2017.”

The 2016 winner was Luminus Group, a not for profit organisation that owns 8,000 homes, homeless hostels, and homes for the elderly and those in need of specialist care across Eastern England.
