Howard Kennedy advice on first FCA approved prospectus for Innovative Finance ISA
Law firm Howard Kennedy has acted as legal adviser to Triple Point Advancr Leasing plc on its launch of £100,000,000 fixed rate, secured bonds, under the new Innovative Finance ISA to raise funds for its small and medium enterprise lease finance and lending operations.
Triple Point is firmly established in this area, having invested over £250 million in lease and asset finance across thousands of SME customers. This was the first FCA approved prospectus issue relating to bonds that can be held not only in SIPPs, but within the new Innovative Finance ISA.
The Innovative Finance ISA was launched by the Government in April 2016 and allows individuals to invest into debt, such as the Advancr bonds, and receive all interest tax free.
Stephen Heinemann, a senior Partner in Howard Kennedy's Capital Markets Team said:
Triple Point has been a longstanding client of the firm and this novel debt offering under the new IFISA regime marks an exciting development into an area of lending which is certain to become popular.
Howard Kennedy has 53 partners and numbers 350 people in total and works alongside national and international clients across many disciplines, including banking, corporate and commercial, family, finance, employment, dispute resolution, intellectual property, private client, real estate and tax. Howard Kennedy has particular focus on the Financial Services, Media and Technology, Real Estate, Retail and Leisure, Sports Individuals sectors, and, through HK One, the firm’s legal concierge service for high net worth individuals with complex legal needs.
